10 Ways to Make Your Living Room Look Expensive (Without Spending a Fortune)

2. Hang your curtains higher and wider than the window
This is the most transformative change on this list and it costs almost nothing if you already have curtains. Hang the track 15–20cm above the window frame — ideally close to the ceiling — and extend it 20cm either side of the window. 3. Add one large statement mirror
Small mirrors cluster. Large mirrors convince.
